Speculative Urban Futures (SUrF)
Speculative Urban Futures (SurF) is a pedagogical project that investigates the role and purpose of design in the 21st century.
SUrF is an educational project funded by ERASMUS+, the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport, with the aim of strengthening design education by collecting and exchanging existing knowledge and experience while developing new methods in the field of design. This three-year project (September 2023 – August 2026) brings together leading European academic/research institutions from design practice, education and research. The consortium is led by the ENSCI les Ateliers (France), and consists of Delft University of Technology (Netherlands), Elisava Barcelona School of Design and Engineering (Spain), The University of Split (Croatia) and the Estonian Association of Architects (Estonia).
